Funding the UK's largest EVER excavator!!

The Deal

We are used to financing big chunks of metal, but this machine really was something else.

Utilising our long- standing relationship with LiuGong UK, we were awarded the opportunity to assist in sourcing a competitive finance solution for this record- setting machine.

Coupled with a mighty Fortress FS95 shear, this 95tonne machine is the largest ever LiuGong machine to be sold in the UK- market!

After much consideration and planning, J Ffrench Plant Hire Ltd (part of the J Ffrench Group of Companies) committed to the purchase and eagerly anticipated it's arrival.

Supporting such a strong customer with this purchase presented the team at Full Metal Finance with a challenge - how to find a funder who would take comfort in having such a large single machine on their book, whilst ensuring that we were able to fulfil the objectives of the customer and secure the finance on the most competitive terms available.

Finding a Solution

After weeding through the 70+ funders that we have on panel, we identified four who would potentially be a good fit. We used our 35+ collective years of experience to present a strong and influential proposal to our broad panel of lenders, hearing back within days with several competitive offers of finance. After some heavy negotiation, we were able to revert to the customer with our best and final offer within two weeks.

A Positive Outcome

With a range of solutions available, including standard Hire Purchase and the Government- backed CBILS Hire Purchase scheme, we whittled down the most suitable options and presented these to the customer. The customer was then able to make an informed decision, with the comfort of knowing that our whole of market approach had ensured no stone was left unturned. 

We had the deal wrapped up within days, and the machine out with the customer to start earning it’s keep!
